What to see in Banoštor and around

Banoštor is one of the oldest villages in Syrmia — a place of wine, history and calm on the northern slopes of Fruška Gora, right on the bank of the Danube. Here is what we recommend to our guests.

Wineries & tastings

Banoštor is rightly called a wine village. Within a short distance of Vinea Montis you will find a string of family wineries, many of which welcome guests for tastings by appointment.

Šijački Winery

Wine

A family winery with around 13.5 hectares of its own vineyards on the northern slopes of Fruška Gora. Its signature is a red wine from sedusa, an indigenous Fruška Gora grape. Tastings come with a view of the Danube.

Tip: Always book your visit in advance.
